CCTV Surveys

Our surveyors are OS19x trained, which is the recognised standard for this type of work. Our surveys are carried out using WRc approved codes and on completion we provide the footage via a link, diagram and full written report to include a summary of works completed and recommendations based on the findings. We can survey pipes from 50mm up to 300mm using manual push rod systems or pan and tilt crawler units. When carrying out CCTV surveys and investigations we aim to gather sufficient information and to present it in such a manner that the client understands the problem (if any) and is made fully aware of the situation. Any necessary remedial works required are highlighted and any explanations or relevant information is provided along with costs to rectify the fault.

We can survey above ground pipes and stacks, below ground drainage, culverts, sewers, cable ducts, chimney stacks or flues, bore holes and crawl spaces or voids. Basically any confined space or pipe. Our operatives are all fully trained in confined space procedures and any entry required to such areas is completed under full control and using the relevant safety equipment as necessary.

A common example of work that we complete are surveys of drainage systems prior to house purchases. A considerable amount of money is spent on a property and a defective drainage system has the potential to cause high costs in repairs. Structural defects such as cracks, fractures, open and displaced joints are not unusual and can deteriorate over time to result in major problems. CCTV surveys will prove the condition of a drainage system and allow a decision to be taken on any defects before committing to a property and inheriting the responsibility for that system. These investigations can highlight areas of concern so that consideration can be given to rectifying them prior to the problem becoming worse.

CCTV surveys can also be used to inspect the condition of a pipe section, that may have just suffered from a problem, to locate any possible defects and allow any remedial or preventative work to be undertaken to avoid a re-occurrence.

Or, to investigate the route and connectivity of a drainage system, hidden or concealed manhole covers or access points.

Internal damp or building movement can often be attributed to drainage problems and again, CCTV surveys can help to prove and rectify this.

Our youngest ever qualified surveyor, at the age of 18 Billy passed the OS19x CCTV training course, here is his certificate. Well done Billy!
